Cao Bang Adventure: 3-Day Journey from Hanoi
You want to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the northern mountainous region and experience the magnificence of the mountains, caves, waterfalls, etc. This tour is for you. One of the four largest international waterfalls in the world, and certainly one of the most well-known in Vietnam, is the Ban Gioc Waterfall. Travelers from all over the world have been flocking there in recent years to take in its distinctively peculiar natural beauty.
Ban Gioc Waterfall is located in Dam Thuy Commune (Cao Bang City), which is 335 kilometers from Hanoi. The western side of the waterfall is owned by Vietnam, while the eastern side is claimed by China. As a result, indigenous ethnic communities in the Ban Gioc Waterfall area contribute a great range of cultural traditions.
God's Eye Mountain (Núi Mắt Thần) is a stunning landmark in the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark, famous for the 50-meter-wide circular cave that pierces its limestone peak, resembling a giant eye.
This location features a dramatic seasonal transformation:
- Dry Season (Sept–Mar): The area becomes a vast, grassy valley, ideal for camping and grazing.
- Rainy Season (Apr–Aug): It floods to form Nam Tra Lake, offering opportunities for kayaking and boating.
This unique geological feature and changing landscape make it an unforgettable destination in Northeast Vietnam.
